Oslo UGM - PSSE Training
This two-day course will review advanced concepts in dynamic simulation modeling.
The training includes:
- Modeling Power Electronics for Dynamic Studies (9 hours): This module covers HVDC modeling and the modeling of FACTS devices such as:
- Static Var Compensator (SCV)
- Thyristor Controlled Series Compensation (TCSC)
- Voltage Source Converter DC (VSCDC)
- Conventional (LCC) HVDC
- Wind, PV and BESS Modeling (3 hours):
- General Concepts and Technology
- .Wind Turbine Generators (WTG)
- Large Scale Solar PV
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Who should attend? Experienced engineers who need to learn or would benefit from dynamic simulations. Participants should have power flow and dynamics experience using PSS®E prior to attending.
